Make the Patch Fit the Beanie

The patch should sit comfortably within the cuff or selected body area. Its weight, stiffness and attachment affect how the knit lies, so the patch and beanie are sampled together.

  • Beanie styles: Cuffed, pom pom, fisherman, slouchy, cuffless and Christmas beanies, depending on the construction and placement.
  • Orders: Brand collections, private-label programs, team orders and promotional products that need an attached brand element.
  • Sample check: Check patch size, stiffness and placement on the finished beanie; a separate patch sample cannot show how it sits on the knit.

Choose the Patch and Its Position

Start with the look you want, then work through material, artwork, dimensions and attachment.

Woven Label or Leather Patch

Compare actual woven and leather samples for logo detail, texture, flexibility and color.

  • Review small lettering and lines on the woven sample.
  • Check the leather surface and how the logo is marked.
  • Confirm the exact label or patch material, color and supply conditions for the order.

Artwork at Finished Size

Check the logo on the selected patch material. Small text, fine lines and spacing may need adjustment when reduced to the final size.

  • Send the source artwork and required colors or references.
  • Check small text, fine lines, spacing and the visible result at finished size.
  • Approve the actual patch sample, not only the artwork shown on screen.

Shape, Dimensions and Edge

Agree on the finished width, height, shape and edge or fold. Compare them with the cuff height and overall proportions of the beanie.

  • Compare the patch dimensions with the cuff height, crown depth and complete beanie.
  • Confirm the edge or fold required for the selected patch type.
  • Check whether the finished patch lies correctly on the selected knit surface.

Attachment and Alignment

Mark the position from clear reference points. Approve how the patch is attached, how it lies on the knit and how the inside looks.

  • Provide placement measurements from clear reference points on the beanie.
  • Check the position with the cuff folded and the beanie worn as intended.
  • Approve attachment, alignment, surface support and inside appearance on the complete sample.

Share the Brand Reference

Send your logo and a beanie reference. Include the patch type or desired look if known; we then confirm size, shape, colors, placement, quantity and other order details.

Check the Attached Patch

Review material, artwork, edge, dimensions and alignment with the cuff folded or the beanie worn as intended. Standard sampling normally takes 5–7 days; a 3-day rush option costs extra.

Confirm the Production Details

Approve the physical sample and written specification. Checks during production and final inspection compare the patch, position, attachment and complete beanie with this reference.

We offer woven labels and leather patches for custom beanies. Material, color, shape, dimensions, edge, attachment and placement are confirmed for the order and approved on a physical sample.
Compare the look, logo detail, patch dimensions and knit surface. A woven label gives a defined woven brand mark; a leather patch provides a different surface and shape. Review the actual material and sample before deciding.

Patch supply, material, artwork, dimensions, attachment, quantity and scheduling can change the final quote.
