Position the Intarsia Graphic

An intarsia graphic needs room in the knit structure. Its edges, scale and position must work with the cuff fold, crown shaping and finished beanie measurements.

  • Beanie styles: Cuffed, pom pom, fisherman, slouchy, cuffless and Christmas beanies, depending on the yarn, gauge and construction.
  • Orders: Placed brand graphics, clear color blocks, team marks and defined graphic areas.
  • Before sampling: Review the graphic boundary, color areas, joins, placement, knit grid, beanie measurements and inside finish.

Develop the Graphic and Its Color Areas

Check the graphic on both sides of the knit and in its intended wearing position.

Placement and Finished Scale

Mark the graphic's position, width and height.

  • Check the visible position with the cuff folded or the beanie worn as intended.
  • Keep the design clear of unsuitable seams, crown shaping and attached components.
  • Approve the graphic size on the complete beanie, not as a separate image.

Separate Color Areas

Yarn thickness, color availability and the shape of each boundary affect how adjacent color areas join.

  • Provide Pantone references or physical swatches for required colors.
  • Check yarn supply, material, thickness and the number of color areas before sampling.
  • Review how adjacent colors meet and how the boundary appears on the physical sample.

Stitch Grid and Gauge

We review 3G, 5G, 7G or 12G options against the yarn and artwork. Lettering, corners and curves must fit the stitches available in the graphic area.

  • The stitch grid controls the shape of letters, lines, corners and curves.
  • Small or complex details may need adjustment to remain readable.
  • Approve the charted result in the actual gauge before production.

Beanie Dimensions and Inside Joins

Check the graphic against the finished width, crown depth, cuff and stretch.

  • Record the finished beanie measurements and graphic position together.
  • Check the inside joins, surface appearance and whether the graphic changes the shape or stretch of the knit.
  • Approve the full beanie, including shape, graphic, seams, labels, pom pom and packaging.

The sample establishes the color boundaries, placement and structure for bulk knitting.

Share the Graphic

Send artwork or a reference and the intended position on the beanie. We confirm yarn, colors, graphic dimensions, product measurements, quantity and packing before sampling.

Review Front and Inside

Check the stitch detail, color boundaries, joins and inside finish, together with fit, dimensions, seams and accessories. Standard sampling normally takes 5–7 days; a 3-day rush option costs extra.

Approve the Finished Specification

Approve the physical sample and written dimensions. Production checks compare the yarn, density, tension, shape and graphic against the approved reference.

Intarsia forms a placed graphic or separate color blocks within the knitted structure. We develop the yarn-color areas, stitch grid, gauge, dimensions and inside joins for the selected beanie.
Intarsia generally suits a placed graphic or separate color blocks. Jacquard generally suits repeated or wider multi-color patterns. The artwork, yarn, gauge, color areas and required inside structure determine the right approach.
No single knitting method suits every logo. Fine lines, gradients, small letters or complex boundaries may need adjustment for the yarn and stitch grid. We review the graphic at its finished size and confirm it on the sample.
No. Send the graphic, intended placement and a beanie reference. If you have color references or measurements, include them. We review a suitable yarn and gauge, then confirm the full specification before sampling.
The standard MOQ is 50 pieces per style and color. A sample normally takes 5–7 days; a 3-day rush option costs extra. Regular bulk production typically takes 15–20 days after written sample and specification approval and receipt of the 50% deposit, excluding shipping. Graphic complexity, color areas, yarn supply, revisions, quantity and scheduling can change the final terms.
