Slouch Depth and Crown Volume

Slouch depends on crown volume and a stable opening. We check flat measurements and the rear profile on the intended wearer, a form or your reference.

  • Finished Crown Height
    Provide a target measurement or reference sample. Measure the approved beanie flat without overstretching it.
  • Target Rear Drop
    Specify how much crown volume should fall behind the head and where the lowest point should sit on the intended wearer.
  • Flat Opening Width
    Confirm the flat width with the chosen material and knit. Grip and recovery affect how the extra length settles.
  • Wearer or Reference Approval
    Review the sample on the target wearer, a suitable form or an agreed reference. Approve both the flat dimensions and worn shape.

Weight, Drape and Season

Weight and knit structure change where the crown folds. We develop hand feel and drape for your intended use, then check the sample when worn.

  • Lightweight Direction
    A lighter construction can create a softer fall with less visual bulk. Confirm the material, weight and recovery for the project.
  • Medium or Heavier Direction
    More weight or thickness can add volume but may change where the crown folds. Check the worn shape before approval.
  • Material and Knit Together
    Yarn size, stitch density and knit structure can change how the same material behaves. Approve the material and knit specification together.
  • Sample Movement and Shape
    Check how the crown settles after the beanie is worn and moved. Approve the hand feel, folds and rear profile, not just a flat photo.

Ribbing and cables change texture, recovery and volume. We adjust the structure and crown shaping together, leaving a visible position for your logo.

  • Cable Scale and Thickness
    Cable knit adds visible relief and volume. Confirm its scale, thickness and finished dimensions with the chosen material.

    Seam position and crown shaping affect where the extra material gathers. Compare the rear and side profiles with the approved reference.
  • Logo Placement

In-House Production and Shape Checks

Our factory completes knitting, sewing, embroidery or patch application, finishing, inspection and packing in-house without production outsourcing. IQC, IPQC and FQC compare materials, crown height, flat width, rear drop, knit surface, logo position and finished goods with the approved sample.

The standard MOQ for custom slouchy beanies is 50 pieces per style and color. A pre-production sample usually takes 5 to 7 days; a 3-day rush option may be available for an extra fee. Bulk production typically takes 15–20 days after written sample and specification approval and receipt of the 50% deposit. Shipping time is additional.
