Close Fit and Finished Depth

We set crown height and opening width for your target coverage. The sample confirms the lower edge position and any extra crown volume on the intended wearer.

  • Finished Crown Height
    Provide a target measurement or reference sample. Measure the approved beanie flat without overstretching.
  • Flat Opening Width
    Confirm the width with the chosen material and knit; the same width can fit differently depending on stretch and recovery.
  • Target Wearing Position
    Specify where the lower edge should sit around the ears and how much crown volume, if any, should remain above the head.
  • Wearer or Reference Approval
    Review the sample on the target wearer, a suitable form or an agreed reference. Approve both its flat measurements and worn profile.

Single or Double Layer

Choose the amount of body and inner coverage for the design. We check material, weight and dimensions with the final layer count, seams and crown closure.

  • Single-Layer Direction
    A single layer can reduce bulk, but edge, coverage and stability still depend on the material, knit and dimensions.
  • Double-Layer Direction
    A double layer adds body and changes the hand feel. Confirm both layers, finished dimensions and the lower edge on the sample.
  • Weight and Volume
    Layer count and material weight work together. Layer count alone does not determine warmth or end use.
  • Inside Construction
    Check the seams, crown closure and inner surface that touches the wearer. Approve the finished sample before bulk production.

Edge Finish and Logo Placement

Without a folded cuff, the edge and crown carry the fit and branding. We check recovery, logo position and artwork distortion on the worn sample.

  • Finished Lower Edge
    Confirm the edge construction, height and contact with the head. Check that it lies as approved without relying on a fold.
  • Stretch and Recovery
    Check the lower edge after fitting and removal. Confirm that the knit holds the approved width and recovers toward its original shape.
  • Branding Method
    Choose embroidery, jacquard, print, woven label or leather patch based on the knit surface, artwork detail, stretch and logo size.
  • Placement Approval
    Measure the logo position from the lower edge or seam. Approve its visibility and distortion on the worn sample, not only while flat.

WiseBeanie’s standard MOQ is 50 pieces per style and color. A standard pre-production sample usually takes 5–7 days; a 3-day rush option may be available for an extra fee. Bulk production typically takes 15–20 days after written sample and specification approval and receipt of the agreed deposit. Shipping time is additional. Special yarns, colors, layer structures, logos, packaging, revisions and scheduling can change the final MOQ, cost and timing.
